Therefore, the Department of Educational and Developmental Science provides the academic background with which students can analyze the crucial stages surrounding a child’s development, in the modern world. By engaging in active research in disciplines such as pedagogy, subject pedagogy, psychology, and early childhood care and education, students will be able to objectively explore the processes that could lead to solutions, to the above mentioned problems.

Furthermore, by coordinating closely with the field of welfare science, the course also attempts to reflect upon the position of welfare and education in schools.
